Yes, it can be as simple as this.  But you need a strategy.  A strategy of ongoing systemisation.

  • Just like you can print a VAT return report from your accounting system, so you should be able to "systemise" your business processes one by one.
  • Your website can be a great tool or access point for these type of systems.
  • Cloud based software is growing faster than ever.  Have a look at this Gartner Forecast Report. There's a very good chance that someone has already build cloud-based software for any of your business processes.  You don't have to re-invent the wheel.
  • Low-code development software systems helps businesses develop their own unique applications...yes, in the cloud!  So you have a pretty unique activity in your business?  Build the app yourself (or get someone to do it for you)
  • Workflow:  Increase productivity, reduce paperwork, save time and cost,  improve process accuracy...these are just some of the buzzwords on the websites of many of these software offerings.  AND IT'S TRUE. Read this forecast-article on Workflow Management Software.  Emails are failing dismally in this space.  When last have you sent an email with instructions to colleagues only to find out 3 days later they never did it and claim they never got the email.

Coming from an Industrial Engineering background, here at WOYB we are not only business process experts, but also system automation fundies! The two are a match made in heaven.
